A new module that connects directly to MS Dynamics NAV 'Campaigns' is now available. Functionality included within the Gears MarketPlace add-on includes the ability to target specific customers groups, user defined landing pages and utilisation of the campaign set-up in Navision. Based on a new MarketPlace implementation a new Shopping Cart Control version is now available. Using additional JQuery functionality the cart offers more design flexibility for clients requiring it.

There a new Product Tree version now exists enabling hybrid versions of the standard and ajax tree to be used to maiximise speed and SEO searchability.
Development of the Product Tree now enables the product tree that appears on pages to be defined by the browser url as well as the language version of the site.

The ability to review user searches that have been conducted in NAV has now been developed. Administrators can assess search attempts and submitted results in order to fine-tune product naming in NAV ensuring higher percentage success on subsequent searches.
Building even further on the Search Engine Optimisation strengths of the GearsCMS GearsERP have now developed Meta Description and Keywords automatically submitted from NAV on item load. This will functionality will become standard in version 1.3 of MarketPlace.
Today GearsERP formally announces the release of version 1.2 of MarketPlace the NAV integrated e-commerce solution. Extra functionality from version 1.1 includes new quick ajax product tree option, progressive loading for list items and search, multi-warehouse inventory checking, anticipated delivery date for non stocked items, back orders and transactions overview.
A new function, expected delivery, is now available calling an anticipated delivery date if inventory is at zero. This function can be extended to enable customers to include or remove such items from their shopping carts/check-out process.
New development additions for version 1.2 of MarketPlace have now been completed and the new version of the solution is now in testing phase. Included amongst the new features will be different loading methods for product trees and categories (further accelerating page load time), a new NAV Debugger viewable from the web solution and a new Transactions overview.
After a successful application process and review GearsERP were today confirmed as a Microsoft BizSpark Partner. The program is targeted at new and innovative companies whichcan maximise the value of Microsoft products through ongoing development. A spokesman for GearsERP stated that"... becoming a Microsoft partner was further affirmation of the professional approach which had become key to their success and thatGearsERP looked forward to working more and more closely with Microsoft over the comingyears.
After completion of testing prior to the holidays version 1.1 of MarketPlace was released today.The new version includes a number of improvements including stock inventory status and product tree speed improvements. Development on version 1.2 has now commenced.
The recent migration of the Gears NAV Adaptor to three more live sites has produced exceptional results. Compared to the previously used competing product the adaptor produced a 100% improvement in speed. Most noticeable was the way in which large calls were handled. The ability to check and display inventory levels of products in multiple warehouses is now completed and tested. The functionality allows potential buyers to verify availability based on absolute or percentage levels and will be developed further according to partner demand.
Order Searching has now been improved to enable documents to be reviewed from a current search result and subsequently re-examined without re-sending the request. This simplifies viewing multiple documents from one search result by overcoming a standard .NET issue. This is applicable to all document searches in the section.
Continued good testing and live roll outs of the Gears NAVAdaptor has justified a development sprint on image views. The unique coding architecture of the adaptor has enabled large calls that previously might have taken as much as 20 seconds in competing products to now be rendered in 10% of the time!
A wealth of new functionality tweaks have now been added and are available as an update* for MarketPlace 1.0. File Management, Extended Text and Multiple Image Views are included as well as relocation of the NAV Products image library to within the GearsCMS.
The latest round of testing has now been completed for version 1.1. of the Gears NAVAdaptor and amongst the long list of positives was great news regarding speed. The NAVAdaptor performed particularly well for larger calls such as 'Create Order' and consistently beat competing products across the range of NAV calls.

After extensive testing GearsERP today announce the launch of GearsCMS.

A comprehensive 'content managemet solution' the product provides a fast, flexible and detailed approach to website development and is packaged with many of the GearsERP products including the e-commerce solution Marketplace.

Further to the recent announcement of the formation of GearsERP the company today announced the release of version 1.1 of their NAV integratable adaptor. Designed for speed, flexibility and the potential to expose all parts of NAV to web solutions the team are delighted with the architecture of the product, its scalability and the impressive results from an extensive testing protocol. The adaptor works with 32bit and 64bit Windows operating systems as well as NAV 2009 and in reverse engineerable for older NAV products upon request.
Based on extensive market research and the formation of a team with comprehensive experience of web development, application management and NAV development we are delighted to announce the launch of GearsERP. Focusing on ERP integrated web solutions the inital focus of the team will be the development of a truly NAV integrated e-commerce solution based around the development of the Gears NAVAdaptor.
